- Teacher gets probation in animal-cruelty case Friday, March 5, 2010 @ 8:59AMA Riverside high school agricultural teacher was sentenced to probation Thursday after pleading guilty to a misdemeanor charge in an animal-cruelty case. Tracy Michele Putnam, 48, of Norco, was sentenced to a year of probation for failing to euthanize an animal in a timely way. Prosecutors dropped three felony charges of animal cruelty originally filed against the Norte Vista High School teacher.
