Is there resources for federal student grants for the unemployed? I recently became unemployed, and have started taking some training courses for a new career. I am looking at going back to school for a new degree as well. Is there any resources or government websites with information about student grants for the unemployed?
I am looking for resources to teach a catholic student who is in the sixth grade? I have a student who is in the sixth grade and has not had his first communion yet. The material we currently have available seems to be geared more for the younger students as the traditional age in the catholic church for first communion is 2nd grade. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on where I could find resources that were more age appropriate.
what are good resources for student interior designers seeking work in the field.? I've notices in my recent search for summer jobs, that I've had no luck with the most popular job search engines in finding a job in the Interior Design field. Most of the sites are seeking senior Interior designers and or someone with 2-5 years of experience. The problem is finding someone to work with hands on or closely with inorder to gain the experience.
I want to teach. I defaulted on student loans. Any resources to help a single mom get back in school? I have three kids 12, 8 and 6. My family cannot help me. I do get child support but it won't cover me returning to classes. As it is, I work full time and will be pursuing the needed coursework for my master's in secondary ed in the evenings. I didn't make enough money to keep up with my loans from my B.A. and they went into default. So, I cannot obtain any additional loans, nor financial aid. I am hoping there is some trust or foundation out there that will assist someone in obtaining a teaching degree. I need about a year's worth of classes. Does anyone know of any resources, besides the department of education?? They have been no help.
High school student looking for career research resources? Hi everyone, I'm a high school student who is currently enrolled through school to a careers advice program, (psychometric tests etc.) but all the jobs they tend to suggest to everyone are in a corporate context. I'm at that stage where everyone wants to know what I want to do but frankly I have no clue so I was wandering if any of you could suggest any comprehensive resources for research (preferably of a socially responsible non-corporate viewpoint). Thanks to all who answer. Thanks to both of you. Your answers were both encouraging and a relief. I go to a school full of rich kids who will just step into their father's place when they retire so you see what I mean when I say reading your answers was a relief. The previous addition refers to the first two answers though I will keep the question open hoping more answers will come.
Medical student resources? Forums? Applications? Help needed ASAP :)? Hi there, I would be very grateful if someone could direct me to a forum for med students. I am sure there are many, it's just that with the busy hectic life I got now, there is no way I could find a forum for these stuff on my own in just some little time. I know there MUST be some resources. I am interested as well in applications and 3D photos of Human anatomy for muscles and bones. We've seen the muscles and bones on a dead guy, though I'm still a bit confused. That's why I need something 3D and accurate. Ebooks would help us a lot, I am sure some of you has handy resources and I would love it if you ccouldn share the names. Of course, I will choose the best answer. Thanks a lot guys, I appreciate your help a LOT knowing that we're all very busy. Good luck all in your studying. Have a nice day :) chiantonyhar, it would be nicer if you use English. And you're not funny at all. You really got no life answering questions with jokes? Go out and do something...
medical student resources? I am 31 and going back to school this fall for Pre-Med. I have been trying to find some medical resources to study so I can have a heads up. Anything you guys have to offer would be helpful, knowledge is power. But I am really looking to get some info on anything related to medicine, especially drugs, deseases, ailments, anatomy, and cardiac. I have been studying Biology, Chemestry, Algebra, Trig, and Calculus for the past six to eight months. To be honest the issue is that I like to learn, and I want to be the best that I can be. I am not looking for something to study in place of these, more like in addition to. Oh!! I am very interested in the courses you suggested Matt. If you have any suggestions on internet resources to Chem, Bio, Organic Chem, Bio Chem, and the like, it would be greatly appreciated. Are you a doctor?

Searching for a student at my college, what resources should I use? I am in college right now and once in a while I would see this mid 20-something well-dressed guy around the campus. He always has a suit on which makes him very noticeable (everyone else wears jeans and hoodies). He's definitely my type of guy, but I don't know his name or what department he is in, so I am wondering what's the best way to find that guy if I have no information of him. I only know how he looks like and he's always wearing a suit.
If a teacher tells their students to use all available resources:? If a teacher tells their students to use all available resources and the student pays someone else to do the project why do they get a failing grade when they get caught? After all the student did use resources to complete the assignment. Specifically they used two $20 bills and someone willing to do the project in exchange for the bills. Money and other people are both resources. I'm a parent. The student is a friend of mine's daughter. Palin is an idiot.
Good online German resources/websites to read for student? I'm in German class at college, I want to continue next semester, I am trying to major in International Studies, but I need to be proficient in a foreign language, and I'm going with German. Does anyone know of any good online German websites, like with news articles, stuff like that, that I could read, so as to help me with learning German? Thanks!
Can a special needs student choose to be in a resource room or self-contained classes? I would choose the self-contained classes because it's easier. And I can still be in regular classes. I can see the regular people at lunch, electives etc. I am not completely isolated. If I took resource room, I would lose an enjoyable elective or lose time in the general curriculum. Self-contained classes are just the academic subjects. Why would students choose resource room over self-contained classes? Self-contained classes are clearly more STRUCTURED than resource rooms. So wouldn't it be better for special needs students to just be placed in self-contained classes? This would also help general education students receive an APPROPRIATE education as well. The teacher could actually pay attention to the regular kids without the interference from the disabled. I was able to choose. I chose to not be in resource room and I got my way. I was failing my regular classes and they said that I could be in the self-contained classes. I am learning skills in the self-contained classes. It's the same thing as resource room. Resource room teaches skills that will help you function in the regular classes. But I didn't learn it. So the self-contained classes are better because it's structured and I get individual attention from the teacher.
Question on college, GPA and being a resource student? I'm going to apply to art colleges and culinary colleges, but the problems are that I'm a resource student and I have a 1.89 GPA. My only strong points that could help are my essay writing skills, my California High School Exit exam score, my grades in my art classes and my skill in art, writing and culinary. Not to mention I do GREAT in interviews! What are my chances, in your opinion?

Ways to accumulate money as a college student? As a college student I'm trying to find any possible ways to get money. For instance, things such as cha cha, car wrapping, taking surveys etc. Things to help pay for school like Scholarships are also things I'm speaking of. Any advice other than to get a job, that is obvious. Any places you know of to make some money or any resources for students or humans in general. Thanks,

How can i get in contact with a business that is willing to partcipate in my (uni marketing student) project? Hi, I am a second year student at Macquarie University and need a business that is willing to work with my group. The project is to analyse the companies distribution network and make recommendations of how the company can improve their current situation. Bigger companies these days only look at maximising profit and dont have time (or want to waste resources) on working with students. How can i find small/medium size businesses that can help??
16 year old pregnant student... I want to give her resources to help her!? I live in East Texas and I have a nearly 17 year old student that is pregnant. I can help her some with practical advice because I was pregnant at 17 but I was hoping there were other resources to help pregnant teens. The father sounds like a deadbeat, she wants to keep the baby, she is currently on probation so will probably have to live at home (which doesn't sound like the best enviroment). I just want to help her if possible find resources to get her through this. She is very bright and says she wants to go to college but comes from a very low income family. I put myself through college as a single mom so maybe I can inspire her.
I have student loan debt, in collection, are there resources to help me pay the loans off grants etc?? I can't use the classes that I took and am very intrested in going to nursing school. I've finally found my calling. I had contacted my loan holder and completed the foreberance paperwork and believed it was taken care of for the time being, but the loan was turned over to collection instead. Due to circumstances out of my control i'll be out of work for a while and unemployment is yet to kick in. Believe me i'd much rather just pay them off. I've already paid off a big bundle.

Where do i find resources for science research? Ok, I'm interested in participating in one of the science talent searches(Intel, Siemens, etc...) However, I looked at the websites for these competitions, and though the winners didn't cure cancer, they came pretty friggin close. So i'm wondering: Where do these students find the resources to help them solve cutting edge problems in science and mathematics?
Proxy site that covers as a student website? I use to know this site that required the username student and pass as student 1 i cant remember the proxy site name. it covered as a student resource website. and im pretty sure it was fairly popular.

A good resource for recipes for a busy graduate student? I'm a graduate student and like to be able to bring food to school and eat it in the student lounge. There is a microwave and a refrigerator in there. I usually just bring pasta and chili. They are both great because they're healthy, easy to transport and hearty. Can someone recommend a resource that might have some more recipes idea to my lifestyle? Thanks!
Tasty and easy recipe for a college student with minimal resources and cooking ability? I'm a premed with no taste for cooking (pun intended). In my nineteen years, I've learned no form of cooking other than to boil water to make ramen noodles. Furthermore, I don't want to learn anything new about cooking. I don't intend to ever cook. I consider it a waste of time. As an off campus student, I can't always eat when I'm hungry. I'm starting to become underweight because I only eat two meals a day on campus, despite trying to stuff myself with fattening foods at both meals. That said, I want practical, quick, and most importantly tasty recipes that I can synthesize with the following equipment: -a small knife -an electric burner -a small pot -water Health is not a limiting factor; the emphasis is taste and efficiency. I'd rather hear from personal experience than from a website, though I'll appreciate any advice you give.
Does anyone have any resources for IDENTIFYING multiplication and division word problems? I don't need help teaching kids to solve multiplication and division word problems but unless they are specifically told what kind of a problem it is (multiplication or division) most can't identify on their own so they do the wrong thing. I am wondering if anyone out there has any lesson tips, resources, etc for helping students identify word/story problems. They are third graders. Thanks!
Masters in Student Affairs or Organizational Devp.and Human Resources? A year ago I started applying to master's programs in student affairs in higher education. After some acceptions and some rejections, I ended up having to put it off until this spring. Now with the economy, I'm trying to figure out what to do. I have been reading that colleges are cutting funding and not hiring new people. I'll be amassing a good amount of debt for this degree, and the pay in the field is not very high. Would I be better off to try and get an Med in Organizational Development and Human Resources (my undergrad school has this program). For those of you in student affairs, what would you do? How is the future for this field (especially career counseling and academic advising.)? There is probably more opportunity in human resources. Also, should I go to a school where having an assistantship doesn't cover tuition?
What are some good ESL teaching materials for working with the poor village setting with few resources? I have been teaching English at a cram school in Asia for a year and am now going to Latin America to work in a poor village. The materials I now use are good but copyrighted by the school, so I can't take them. I am also used to having a library of resources. Now, I won't have a photocopier and probably won't be able to bring in a lot of resources, (definitely not one per student) so I am looking for good books and materials out of which I can get plenty of mileage.
Good initial french student resource? I'm taking French 2 right now and I am looking for two websites. A good, accurate online French-English dictionary as well as a website that has vocabulary and grammar information. Thanks! Also, a website to help with pronunciation of words and phrases, please.
What college resources are available for a disabled college student to deal with bullying? I am autistic and some of my college peers are ignorant to my disability and tease me by calling me names like fat boy, nerd, loser, weirdo, etc. at times. Occasionally I am also victim to being hit or kicked. On one occasion a student threw a urine filled water balloon at me when I was walking to class to take an exam and I was teased by other students because I smelled bad.

How do I get my foot in the door in Human Resourcs? I am still a student.? I would like to get a job in Human Resources and I am a student majoring in HR but I want to get the experience. I found that it is hard to get your foot in the door if you don't have the experience. How do I get the experience if you cannot get a job that will give you a chance? I have found that even entry level positions a person needs 1-3 years worth of experience. I have tried to join local HR associations but Cleveland Ohio does not have any local associations that can help me. I need some type of input- someone PLEASE HELP ME!
As an autistic student what college resources can I use to stop bullying? At the beginning of the trisemester I was given a new roommate and wanted to become friends with him. However I quickly found out that was not possible. He calls me weirdo because at times I hum to myself alot and talk to myself alot. He teases me about my weight can call me fat pig, chunky chops, whenever he sees me eating or I bring home food. He has also physically abuse me by cuffing me in the back of my head, spitting on me, and throwing water balloons at me. He never calls me by my real name and always refer to me by these names when he asks a question or tells me to do something. What can I do to get this to stop.
